Noodle University offers Veterinary Education Pasta-bilities.

New Online Veterinary Forum, Noodle University, promises to offer up original, energizing education.

Brainchild of Dr. Mary Gardner and Eric Garcia, Noodle University promises thoughtful, entertaining, holistically-styled continuing education to be enjoyed live or on demand.

Online Learning Forum Goes Live In May

Dr. Mary Gardner and Eric Garcia have announced that their online education forum, Noodle University, will go live in May 2020.  Veterinary professionals will be able to enjoy live classes on practice management and veterinary medicine.  The conference will offer RACE credits to all attendees in both the non-medical and medical categories.

Dr. Gardner, a tour-de-force in her own right, and co-owner of Lap of Love, an in-home geriatric and end-of-life service for companion animals, assures that the learning experience through Noodle University will be entertaining and inspirational.  Classes will be offered over two weekends in May, a practice management session May 16th and 17th, and a veterinary medicine curriculum offered May 23rd and 24th.

A Break From Traditional Online Learning

A Keynote address by world-renown experts (Suze Orman for the management track, and Dr. B.J. Miller for the medical track) will open each weekend.  Says Gardner, “We are working on unique ideas to make this the most amazing event possible”.  She promises there will be an ‘Office Hours-Happy Hour’ at the end of each day where the speakers gather with attendees in an online forum and hash out the day’s discussion points in a stimulating Q and A format.  An emcee will help to enliven the traditional talking-head format of online learning and give it a more engaging, conversational appeal. Gardner even promises online early-morning and lunch-break exercises with a personal trainer.

Educators Chosen For Their Ability To Connect To Audiences

Those of you that like your education served up with humor and honest insight will know many of the lecturers that Garcia and Gardner have chosen to round out the May roster:  Dr. Dave Nichol, Denise Tumblin, Dr. Susan Little, Dr. Jolle Kirpersteijn, Dr. Sue Ettinger, Eric Garcia, and Dr. Mary Gardner.  They’ve even given yours truly, Bash Halow a chance to step up to the plate and swing.

Live classes will be also recorded for on-demand viewing.

5 Challenges To Prepare For When Reopening Post-Covid

I’m excited to offer three hour-long classes.  Though all of us may be a little corona’ed out at this point, I’m still obsessed with trying to figure out how we transition back to business as usual post-Covid or if that’s even a possibility OR if that should even be our objective!  I’ll explain more during the class, but I have a lot of compelling evidence that there will be five, significant challenges to veterinary practices as we reopen our doors to a more normalized way of doing things in mid-May. I’ll share what these five challenges are and how I believe we should respond.

Out With The Old, In With The New!

Building on the first topic, I thought this would be a good time to do an inventory of the past management practices we were doing that already seemed antiquated and at this point are likely Gone With The Wind. If we’re going to reboot our operation, let’s upgrade to the latest version of the software, you know what I’m saying?

Is Traditional Veterinary Medicine Out of Step With What Young People Want For Their Pets?

Finally, I’d like to talk about recent data that indicates that young pet owners may not be bought into the value of veterinary services and what we can alter about the way we do things to be more in line with their values, and really, a whole sea change of beliefs that have swept across our culture.

See You In May!

I hope to see you all of you at Noodle University in May.  I would hate to see this opportunity pasta you by…(stop groaning that was good!)
